Two ways to work with us
AHW offers two primary paths for click-lock LVP projects. They price differently and they involve different decisions on your end.
1. You supply the flooring. We install it.
If you have already bought a click-lock LVP product, or you want to shop for one yourself, that is a normal way to work with us. Labor-only installation starts at $3.25 per installed square foot, and the labor-only minimum installation charge is $750.
We review the product you have selected before confirming scope. Locking systems, attached underlayment, plank dimensions, and the manufacturer's stated installation requirements all differ between products, and those differences can change how the floor goes down.
2. We supply Flooret Modin Base and install it.
We also offer a defined package, subject to current product availability: Flooret Modin Base LVP material plus a standard click-lock LVP installation, starting at $5.99 per project square foot.
This is one available path, not a requirement. We are not a Flooret-only installer, and sourcing through us is optional. Modin Base is simply the product we publish a combined material-and-installation price for. If you want a different product or brand, customer-supplied compatible click-lock LVP is welcome.
What the Modin Base package is — and what it is not
The $5.99 starting figure covers the defined Modin Base material and a standard click-lock LVP installation. It is not an all-in project price.
Work that is priced separately from the package includes:
- existing-floor removal labor and disposal/haul-away
- transitions, and the transition material itself
- qualifying door-jamb and door-casing work
- floor leveling
- subfloor repair or replacement
- 1/8-inch plywood or luan overlay
- stair work
- baseboard or trim work beyond approved standard scope
- moisture remediation
- unusual substrate or site preparation
- other nonstandard project conditions
If your project needs any of that, it appears as its own line in the written estimate. That is the document that controls what is and is not included.
The bundle has a 250 square foot project minimum. At the $5.99 starting rate, that means a minimum base bundle amount of $1,497.50 before tax and separately priced work. This is separate from the $750 minimum used for labor-only installation.
Under Flooret's current standard full-order shipping policy, AHW does not add a separate standard freight charge to the $5.99 bundle. Supplier shipping policies can change, so the written estimate controls if the supplier's terms change before an order is placed.
Modin Base: current product specifications
Flooret publishes the following current specifications for Modin Base:
- 5 mm total thickness
- 20 mil wear layer
- 6 in × 48 in plank
- 1 mm IXPE attached underlayment
- click-lock floating installation
These are the manufacturer's current published specifications for this product, not permanent guarantees. Product lines change. We confirm the current specification and the manufacturer's installation requirements as part of preparing your estimate.
Why the exact product matters
Click-lock LVP is a category, not a single specification. Within it, products differ on locking system, plank size and thickness, whether underlayment is attached or separate, what the manufacturer requires underneath, how much expansion space is required at perimeters and fixed objects, and what the manufacturer says about run lengths and transitions.

Material planning and the 10% allowance
We plan material at project area × 1.10.
A 1,000 square foot project is planned with 1,100 square feet of material. The extra 10% is our standard planning allowance for cutting and layout.
That allowance is a material quantity rule, not a pricing rule. On a 1,000 square foot project, the $5.99 starting package is figured against the 1,000 square foot project area — not against 1,100. So the base figure before add-ons and tax would be 1,000 × $5.99 = $5,990.
The final material order may need to round up to whole manufacturer boxes so the order is not below the planned quantity. Any leftover bundled flooring material belongs to you. AHW does not retain random extra boxes from your project.
If you request a product/order change after bundled flooring has already been ordered and material has to be repackaged or returned, the additional charge is the project-specific repackaging and return-shipping cost plus a $250 trip/mobilization charge. There is no single flat return-shipping amount because shipment size varies by project. Supplier-originated product unavailability or substitution is handled case by case in writing rather than through an automatic website rule.
What we review before confirming your estimate
Before we confirm scope and price, we look at things like:
- the specific product and its stated installation requirements
- subfloor type and its visible condition
- floor flatness across the installation area
- moisture considerations relevant to the product and the space
- expansion spacing and perimeter details
- transitions and where flooring meets adjacent surfaces
- door clearance
- what flooring is there now
- material quantity and overage
- furniture, appliance and staging needs
Some conditions are not visible until the existing floor comes up. We do not diagnose what is underneath a floor from a photograph or a description, and we will say so rather than guess.
Layout across rooms and doorways
Where LVP runs through connected rooms, hallways or doorways, the starting line and the direction of the run get decided before the first plank goes down, because those choices affect how the floor reads along a long sightline and where transitions land.

Common questions
Can I buy my own LVP? Yes. Customer-supplied compatible click-lock LVP is welcome. We review the product before confirming scope, since installation requirements vary by product.
What does the $5.99 package include? The defined Flooret Modin Base material and a standard click-lock LVP installation. It does not include removal, transitions or transition material, jamb work, leveling, subfloor repair or overlay, stairs, or other nonstandard conditions — those are quoted separately.
Is there a minimum for the $5.99 package? Yes. The bundled offer has a 250 square foot project minimum. At the starting rate, that is a $1,497.50 base bundle minimum before tax and separately priced work.
Does the $5.99 package include removing my old floor? No. Existing-floor removal labor has material-specific starting rates; disposal/haul-away is separate. See Floor Removal and Disposal.

Why do you plan 10% extra flooring? It is our standard planning allowance for cutting and layout. It governs how much material is ordered — not how the installed area is billed.
Does every LVP product install the same way? No. Locking systems, underlayment requirements, expansion requirements and manufacturer conditions vary. The product's own instructions control.
What can change the starting rate? Preparation needs, removal, stairs, transitions and doorway work, and nonstandard project conditions. Pricing explains the cost drivers in full.
